Nicole Atkins

  • The Rubin Museum of Art 150 West 17th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

The Rubin and Music Without Borders is thrilled to welcome Nicole Atkins back to the Museum for a Naked Soul performance. A rare artist whose timeless songwriting and raw, emotional voice spans the ages, Atkins will perform songs from her most recent and much-anticipated third albumSlow Phaser.

The miasma of faded glamour and nostalgic pop-noir of her critically lauded debut album, Neptune City(2007), secured her place in Rolling Stone’s “Top 10 Artists to Watch,” where they praised her “voice full of longing and Loretta Lynn elegance.” Atkins has been lauded as having a “penchant for creating enticingly mysterious pop-rock” (USA Today) and “a voice that could melt the heart of a devil,” with a “sense of humor dryer than a drought” (NPR).
