The Olate Dogs took home top honors in 2012's America's Got Talent competition, scooping up the $1,000,000 prize and going on to headline at The Palazzo in Las Vegas. Led by Richard Olate and his son Nicholas Olate, the Olate Dogs are a high-energy, fast-paced canine theatrical act filled with amazing dog tricks, human acrobatics and humor.
Since 2012, the Olate Dogs have been touring the U.S., performing sold out shows and commanding standing ovations at high profile sporting events, including NBA, WNBA, MLB, and NCAA games. Many of the canine performers are rescue dogs, and in 2014 the Olates were featured in Halo Purely for Pets' Dog's Best Friend, an online film promoting shelter adoptions.
A singer and talent in his own right, Nicholas Olate has his debut album Think Big available on ITunes. The Dogs themselves have their own Olate Dogs Christmas CD barking the holiday classics, also available on ITunes.
